Worcester is home to artists of many different talents. In one of my previous articles I wrote a spotlight on Clark music artists to show off the skills of the community. I wanted to continue this further by talking with another artist from greater Worcester. I got to speak to a Worcester resident and artist of many talents named Emmanuel Qlynton Carboo. Qylnton is a multi-talented artist who works at the Creative Hub in Worcester.
Qlynton moved to Worcester from Africa, looking for opportunities in America. Using his artistic talents, he started doing sketches and designs that garnered attention and got him the opportunity to bring his brands to the Creative Hub. Qlynton is the designer of his own clothing brand, Wavez New Age, and several other brands.
Qlynton’s talents don’t stop in fashion though, he has a music studio in the Creative Hub making productions for himself and other artists. Joined by his wife in his work, she has been crucial to the success of his dreams.
Qlynton’s main goal is giving back to the community and using art to express himself. He works with different organizations around Worcester, setting up workshops and shows for aspiring artists. Qlynton is very passionate about his relationship with god and spirituality and it reflects in his work.
Qlynton has collaborated with Clark and the Main South community in the past. He wants to assist with the programs here and leave an impact. His main advice for artists is to believe in yourself and manifest the opportunities you want. Qlynton is open to mentoring and collaborating with Clark students. He ceded that if you want to work with him you need to bring something to help his endeavors and meet him where he’s at. He does consultations, workshops and fashion shows among other things and says he is happy to help aspiring artists.
I am glad to have spoken with him and learn about his art and his impact on the community.
