Rams Vs. Seahawks:
The Seattle Seahawks ventured into Satan’s palace, otherwise known as SoFi Stadium, on Sunday, Nov. 16 to play the evil Los Angeles Rams, the current owners of all of the NFL’s devil magic. Unfortunately, the might of the Seattle Seahawks was not enough to stop the power of the most evil team in the league (yes, they’re worse than the Chiefs), as the Rams’ devil magic made kicker Jason Myers miss Seattle’s game-winning field goal attempt. The Seattle defense did play elite football, as usual, holding Rams Quarterback Matthew “Geriatric” Stafford to 130 yards on 15 completions and a 45.6 rating. The main issue for the Seahawks this game was QB Sam “GEQBUS” Darnold, who let the devil magic get the better of him (I guess he’s still working out the demons that possessed him when he was on the Jets), as he threw four interceptions. To be fair, all four were not his fault (thanks for that, refs). Wide Receiver Jaxon “JSN” Smith-Njigba continued playing like the best wide receiver in football, getting another 105 yards to extend his lead as the receiving yards leader. The Seahawks are still probably going to the playoffs, as the rest of our schedule is fairly easy. Other than the second Rams game and the game against the Indianapolis Colts, I don’t see this team getting less than 12 wins (how poetic would that be), which should guarantee a playoff spot. As for the Rams, are they a good team? Kind of, I guess. But of their eight wins, only three of them have been against real playoff contenders, and their offense is extremely fragile, as only one key player getting injured would end their season. But their remaining schedule is also very easy, so the national media will probably still glaze them like they’re actual contenders. God, I hate the Rams.
Dolphins Vs. Commanders:
The Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders flew out to Europe this Sunday, Nov. 16, for the first ever NFL game in Madrid, Spain. Both of these teams have had bad seasons so far, with the Dolphins having trouble with their QB Tua Tagovailoa and Head Coach Mike McDaniel. The Commanders are also having QB issues, as sophomore QB and former Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels has been dealing with injury issues the entire season. While the Spaniards may not have gotten the best game of the season, they instead got the special gift of extra football, as the two teams could not end it in regulation, sending the game into overtime. But despite the extra time needed, Miami was able to stick it out and get the job done, perhaps giving them a chance to turn the season around. Tagovailoa had a good game compared to the rest of the season, throwing for 171 yards on 14 completions, and did not throw an interception, even though he leads the league in interceptions with an almost career high 13 picks. I still think the Dolphins will fire McDaniel at the end of the season, but he just might be able to get to stay in Miami for another season, depending on how he finishes the season. As for the Commanders, this season is practically over. Considering that Daniels probably won’t be back for a few more games, it’s probably best for them to rest him for the remainder of the season so he can get healthy, and hope to make improvements in the offseason, considering that they will probably have a good pick in the draft.
Giants Vs Packers:
The Green Bay Packers went to the Big Apple to play the New York Giants this Sunday, Nov. 16. The Giants have had some trouble this year, as their three key offensive players, WR Malik Nabers, QB Jaxson Dart, and Running Back Cam “Skat Man” Skattebo have all been injured, with Dart the only one of the trio not out for the season. The Giants also fired Head Coach Brian Daboll (making him the second Head Coach named Brian to be fired this season), both over his lack of success and worries about him playing Dart too much to try and save his job. This week, the Giants decided to start their third string QB Jameis Winston instead of regular backup Russel “Mr. Unlimited” Wilson, due to a lack of success. Despite all the adversity, the Giants still managed to keep it competitive against a playoff hopeful, only losing 20-27. As for the Packers, I don’t know what’s going on with them. It seems like they are beginning to play down to their opponent, and that is beginning to be combined with bad play calling, which is a very dangerous combination. This team has the tools on its roster that can win them a Super Bowl, but I don’t think they can get it done, making me wonder if this team is really legit. Considering the draft haul and the salary cap space they had to give up for Micah Parsons, this team’s Super Bowl window could be closing faster than they’d like. In my opinion, if Head Coach Matt LaFleur can’t get the job done this year, it may be time to look at another option to be the Head Coach for the green and gold.
